The LimaNovum Choir, under the direction of Ivan Vrublevskyi, won two Gold Diplomas at the International Choir Competition "Cantu Gaudemus" in Białystok
On December 2-3 2023, the LimaNovum Choir, associated with the Limanowa Cultural Center, participated in the VII International Choral Competition "Cantu Gaudeamus" in Białystok. The ensemble, led by Ivan Vrublevskyi, was selected by the artistic committee and competed in two categories: contemporary music and sacred music. The choir received two Gold Diplomas and very high points from the judges.
The competition featured the top 10 choirs from Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia. The ensembles were evaluated by an international jury chaired by Docent Ēriks Ešenvalds, one of the most popular choral music composers in the world. The jury also included Prof. Dr. Wioletta Miłkowska and Prof. Rolandas Daugela.
The young LimaNovum Choir from Limanowa impressed not only the judges but also the audience with their very interesting and challenging repertoire and the quality of their performance, earning them enthusiastic applause.
